Hotel Le Voyageur

The rooms looked bigger on the website than they were in person. Breakfast cost an extra $10 per person, and it was terrible: no coffee, dried-out food that seemed left over from the day before. Since we had a child with us, we had to carry our food back to the room. It felt disgraceful to treat families that way.

Being just outside town made it quiet, while still leaving us close enough for quick grocery runs. I stayed two weeks ago for two nights and was very happy with the visit. My Superior room had a fridge and microwave, and its updated bathroom really impressed me, especially the workmanship.

The bacon was delicious, though I had to wait for the eggs to be cooked because there weren't any left, and they tasted too buttery for me. Breakfast was included. There were three of us, so I slept on the pull-out couch, which wasn't very comfortable, and no extra sheets were available. My mom was able to book without a credit card, which was nice, but the $200 deposit seemed a bit high, even though it was returned. Pretty nice place overall, I'd recommend it.

A plain exterior, but inside it's clean, efficient, and recently renovated, especially by Côté Nord standards. It's right on the main road through Sept-Îles, just outside the city, with a shopping mall and restaurants nearby. Good stop for a night or two on the way to Natashquan or farther along. The rates are excellent, the staff are very polite, and all the rooms have air conditioning. Recommended.
