The restaurant was a highlight, with big windows facing the bay, an excellent breakfast, and a very good dinner. We also had wine on the balcony, where the view was spectacular, but leave the room door ajar because the key didn't work for getting back in. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a lovely balcony, and it mixed renovated and vintage features. The bathroom felt straight out of the 70s and needs work, but it was clean, well lit, and functional. Walk the boardwalk to the pier if you can, the sunset was stunning. I'd ask for a renovated room and bathroom.

The room was spotless, modern, and had a peaceful view of the water. But the start of my business stay at Hotel Sept-Îles was a letdown: at check-in, the front desk person seemed uninterested, asked only for my last name and credit card, and made me feel like an inconvenience instead of a welcome guest. That left a bad first impression. I'm hoping dinner at the hotel restaurant tonight goes better and rounds out the comfortable room and waterfront views.

The restaurant had at least a few vegetarian options, and the food was affordable. We stayed for two nights, and I didn't have a bad experience. My room was clean and ready when I arrived. I especially liked the view from the window: mountains in the middle of the Saint Lawrence Gulf, a walking path, and part of the boardyard.

The view is amazing, and the restaurant might be the best place to go for breakfast. Olivia at reception was really nice and helpful.

The view was fantastic, the staff were friendly, and the bed was comfortable in a clean room. It was a little dated, but renovations are underway, so hopefully that will change. I'd stay here again.
