Wingate by Wyndham Fort Saskatchewan

We were in town for a hockey tournament, and the hotel was in a great location. The staff were super friendly and helpful. After a late game, they kept the pool open an extra hour so the team could enjoy it. Breakfast each morning was a great start to the day.

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and modern, and there was a good variety at the complimentary breakfast. Every staff member was warm and attentive, making it clear that guests matter here. General Manager Andrew deserves special thanks, his hospitality and leadership come through in the whole team’s excellent service. I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and caring service.

The beds were super comfortable, though I wasn’t keen on the pillows. I’m fussy about pillows, and these seemed to disappear when I put my head down. Everything else was hard to fault: the room and bathroom were very clean, the shower was huge, and the towels were nice and fresh. Breakfast had a reasonable range for most tastes. There was tea and coffee in the room, plus a microwave and fridge. I stayed one night, and the pool was refreshing. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I found bed bugs in my room after showing someone what looked like bites on my body. I brought a live bug down to the front desk, but the manager was horrible to deal with and still charged me for the room. They moved me to another room, where I checked under the mattress pad and found crumbs and chips on the mattress and between it and the wall. The pool also seemed to have too many chemicals, and the kids’ skin burned, leaving their faces red and swollen.
