Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Fredericton

The pool was warm and relaxing, and the slide looked like a lot of fun. My husband and son came back from swimming smelling of musty water, though, and the shower drains need a good deep clean. Even so, we had a lovely stay at Château Fredericton. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, staff were very welcoming, and breakfast had a nice variety. We'd happily stay again.

The price isn't a bargain, since everywhere seems expensive, but it felt fair for what you get. Other places may offer half as much, and the service here is great. There's plenty of parking, and it's just around the corner from restaurants, malls, gas stations, and pretty much everything. We stayed a couple of years ago, and I realized when I recently picked my daughter up from a birthday party at the Chateau that I'd never reviewed it. The pool and waterslide are a huge draw for kids. On our first visit, my daughter could barely get enough and we spent more time in the pool than in the room. Staff are super friendly, and there's complimentary coffee or lemon water by the door while you get sorted. The rooms were clean, didn't feel dated, and had everything we needed for the night. The hot breakfast was great, with plenty of options for kids.

The rooms are nice, and breakfast was good. But after I booked, I got flooded with emails and SMS messages about one thing after another, right through check-in and checkout. It was so overwhelming I wished I hadn't stayed.

The mattresses were a bit hard, and the bathtub was small. Still, for a hotel in a small city, I didn't expect such a great experience. Breakfast, the design, the pool, and the staff were all amazing. Thank you 😊🙏
