The host sent clear directions and all the useful details before I arrived, so I knew what to expect and the stay went smoothly. It’s a unique getaway where you get some comforts along with time outdoors. I had only positive things to say about the place. A tip for booking: if you can, book directly with the property host so they avoid booking site fees. If the direct rate is higher than another site's, the host may be able to match the price.

The sewage smell in the farm house was the reason I took off two stars, though I hesitated to leave a review because I wanted to be fair. I stayed in the Richler room, booked directly through their site, which was much cheaper than booking.com. The room itself was fine, with wifi, a comfortable bed, and its own AC unit, so there was no smell in the room. The shared washroom was alright, and parking on site was free. Check-in was quick with clear instructions, and the owners replied quickly whenever I had a question. The location is handy, close to Wiarton and about a 12-minute drive to Sauble beach. It’s a cute little hobby farm with goats and pigs. From other reviews, I suspect a bunkie or the separate suite with its own bath and kitchenette might have made for a better stay. The photos show the bunkies and little miss piggy.

The Studio has a teal-accented room and lovely grounds, with a quality mattress and real privacy. I especially liked the quiet outdoor corners for some solo time and the charming balcony looking toward the animals. Inside, there’s a private washroom and a few unexpected extras. The owners are flexible, and booking directly saves you money. I’m planning another visit in the Fall. Consider staying in the Studio if you’re visiting!

I was thru-hiking the Bruce Trail and booked a stay here at very short notice. The hosts were helpful when we accidentally chose the wrong night and fixed it right away. Check-in was easy, and the website’s FAQ section is iconic. There’s a lovely outdoor shower and composting toilet, with indoor options too, and the whole place has a great vibe. I wish we could’ve stayed longer, but I had to get back to the trail!
