Gibsons Garden Hotel

The room was clean, well organized, and thoughtfully designed. We loved the pool and hot tub, and really everything about the accommodation was great. The one downside was other guests not showing basic consideration in those shared areas. Some were too loud, playing music and chatting too much. A notice about pool and hot tub etiquette might help, though we're all grown-ups and it shouldn't need to be spelled out.

The place isn't fancy, but it's clean, looked after, and updated where it needs to be. You can tell the owners, management, and staff care about it. The front desk was friendly, and the location is fairly central. I was pleasantly surprised by the stay, thought it was good value, and would stay again without hesitation.

The staff made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and it's a perfect base for exploring Gibsons. Easily the best place to stay in town. Highly recommend!

My new husband and I, both in our 50s and quiet white Canadians, booked by phone for a short honeymoon getaway. After a two-hour drive, a ferry ride, and $100.00 later, we arrived to be told that the employees who booked us had made a mistake. They said we could stay one night if we paid for the room upfront and put down a $400.00 deposit. The woman, who I think was Chinese or had heritage along those lines, was ignorant and put me off staying there. We felt racially profiled and as if we were being accused of planning to damage the room. Everything had been arranged for our honeymoon, so this was awful. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this hotel at any cost.
