The decor feels more cozy than modern, which made it feel like home. My girlfriend and I stayed over Labour Day weekend for my cousin’s wedding, and Liz and Dennis were gracious and easygoing. They gave us privacy when we wanted it and cleaned the room while we were out. Breakfast was delicious and just the right amount to keep us going until lunch. I’d happily recommend staying here to friends and family.
I paid an above-average price, especially compared with at least 15 other B&Bs I’ve stayed in, and this was the worst one. The breakfast was small and tasted like poor-quality food. The bathroom didn’t have a proper door, and I only felt comfortable changing in the bathroom. Denis and Liz insisted I leave by 11:30 AM so they could clean, even though the room was already clean, and I couldn’t refuse the “Room service.” They came into the room early in the morning without knocking, and usually entered twice a day as if I weren’t there. They told me where to put my luggage, and the visits felt more like checking up on me than doing much cleaning. It made the room feel very non-private, and I didn’t feel safe there. On the first evening they recommended a restaurant, but the food was horrible. I could swear they had an arrangement with the owner and made money from sending tourists there.
