Grande Cache Inn & Suites

I'm here for at least nine days with my security pups, and after weeks thinking about where we'd be comfortable, I can honestly say this is the best place. The cleaning ladies have been so sweet, and it's a joy seeing staff enjoy their jobs and each other. They really show that customer service isn't dead. After a horrible, long, cold drive, the grounds guy helped me bring everything inside and moved my truck so I could plug it in when everything was full. My truck had barely made it. Then he and the amazing South African lady called the restaurant and asked them to let me order before closing, and they kindly did. I can't thank everyone enough for looking after me. The staff all deserve raises!

The whole place was clean, breakfast was great, and everyone seemed ready to help. The welcoming smiles at the front desk stood out too. I only wish breakfast stayed open a little longer. I don't often leave positive reviews, but this was a really pleasant visit and I'll definitely stay here again.

We stayed one weekday night, and the price was very reasonable. The restaurant was quick and good, and the hostess was friendly. Our first room had a clogged sink. The front desk attendant tried hard to clear it, but the handyman was off, so she moved us when she couldn't fix it. She was kind and clearly wanted us to be happy. Both rooms were clean, but the carpet-to-tile strips were worn, with little carpet nails sticking out. One pierced my bare foot, so those strips need repair or the flooring needs updating. The shower got nice and hot with good pressure, though the head was fixed awkwardly high and couldn't be tilted down. I'm 5'7" and it just barely reached my head, so someone shorter might struggle. The AC worked well but was pretty loud.

This is our favourite place in town, even though there's not much choice. Nothing fancy, but the staff are warm and welcoming, the room cleaners do a great job, and the beds are quite decent for a hotel or motel. Breakfast is good and the location is convenient. We left jewelry and electronics out by mistake, not realizing the room would be cleaned, and everything was still safe. Our only complaint was the somewhat noisy air conditioner.
