Breakfast was only so-so. The restaurant was being worked on, so the first day's bagged breakfast was the best one. After that, breakfast was served in the banquet hall and wasn't very good. The room itself was clean and updated, though the view was of the air conditioner. The kids enjoyed the pool, which wasn't overly chlorinated like at most hotels, and the games room with ping pong, basketball, and a big-screen TV was a good place to hang out during our hockey tournament. There's lots of parking, and both the airport and hockey rink are about an eight-minute drive away.

The room felt smaller and more worn than the website photos led me to expect, and a bit dated. Still, the bed and bedding were comfortable, though I could've used more pillows. The double tub was amazing, and between that and the location, especially the tub in the king suite, I'd stay again.

The price made the experience especially disappointing. On our last morning, before check-out and a six-hour drive home after a weekend skating competition, we had no hot water for the second time. We were also woken by a band. Housekeeping had already woken us before 8 and again around 8:20, pushing to know when we'd leave so they could clean. It was a terrible final night and morning.

I've been staying at this hotel since 2014, and the reception experience and rooms are awesome. The restaurant is another story: the customer service there is very poor. They've spent years experimenting with its atmosphere, though the latest renovation or change is better than the earlier ones.

We found the room perfect and the staff really friendly. The location was easy to find, and when we chose to add another night, they gave us a very reasonable rate.
