Westport Inn

Sofie at the front desk made a big difference for me. She was warm and professional, and helped make everything go smoothly from check-in through check-out. It’s clear the management cares about service and keeping the place welcoming. The Westport Inn has also had some renovations, and the rooms feel fresh, modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. Breakfast is free, with a good range of well-prepared choices. Between that, the updated rooms, and the friendly staff, I’d gladly recommend staying here when visiting the area.

Sofie looked after me and made sure everything was right, thanks to her. The inside has changed a lot since my last visit: freshly painted rooms, nice desks and beds, good showers, and a kitchen area with mats, a fridge, and microwave. For an older hotel, the rooms feel surprisingly modern and well equipped, and the improvement exceeded what I expected. The outside could use some work, but I’d rather have a clean room than a fresh coat of paint outdoors.

The receptionist has been quick, friendly, honest, and helpful, and the place feels more secure than others nearby, which seems good for families. It’s only my first day, but I’m already impressed. The room has a full-size fridge and kitchenette, firm comfortable beds, working AC, and no odd smell. There’s a huge TV, a small coffee maker, and convertible seating, too. I’ll share photos and a fuller review after my week here, but wanted fellow travelers to know about the place.

Even with the space heater the kind lady brought me, the room only reached 64f/17c after two hours on high. Guests can’t set their own room temperature, and the bedding was very thin, with no extra blankets in the room. I wouldn’t recommend staying here when it’s below -10°C.
