The building is old, so expect mice. The cleaning staff aren’t top notch, but the people at the desk are polite and very helpful. You’ll need to go at least 1 km for proper amenities. I stayed a week, and the place was about 10-20% full the whole time. It works well if you need somewhere quickly during the spring and summer blocks and can’t give much notice, as long as there’s a vacancy. Bathrooms are communal, with individual shower stalls.

Faculty and staff take real pride in welcoming students into the UKC community. The residences, dining hall, student lounge, and lecture hall are traditional and cozy, well used, and maintained. The lounge, or wardroom, seems to have new furniture. Inside the larger Dal campus, this is a compact community set up well for students, especially those living on campus. It has a long history going back to the late 1700s, and a beautiful library with interesting artifacts.

A horale chai bas. Great place for Mivtzoim, with a solid Chabad presence. I’ve met the president a few times, and he’s a great man.

The campus buildings are beautiful, and this was a lovely place to stay for a few days this summer. At $75 a night, it was a great price. Just know there’s no AC: my room got pretty hot, though they did provide a fan. 😁

The gym is a decent size, but there’s very little seating, even for a small group. My kids play Sportball here, and the facilities are clean with helpful staff.
