Our stay in Room 101 was upsetting and made it hard to enjoy the hot springs, which are usually a wonderful place to relax, recharge, and enjoy the pools. There was heavy foot traffic from the room above, squeaky floors, and doors closing late into the night, around 1:00 a.m., then again at about 6:50 a.m. We’d been hoping to sleep in and relax, but the noise made resting extremely difficult. Several things in the room weren’t working properly. The phone didn’t work, so we couldn’t contact reception directly, and the coffee machine was broken. There was no body wash at first, but staff brought it promptly when we asked. The glass cups were visibly dirty on the bottom. I have photos and videos documenting these issues. We raised our concerns at the front desk. The staff member was kind and professional, but the $29.99 discount offered seemed to cover the resort fee. Given the nightly rate, that felt disproportionate to the inconvenience. The property is still a lovely destination, but Room 101 in its current condition didn’t meet the standard I’d expect for the price.

The scenery is gorgeous, though the hotel feels a bit in the middle of nowhere. Rooms are large and the balcony was good, but the hotel itself is dated. If you need a sparkling clean room, you may not love it here. The hot springs were relaxing, and I appreciated having an adults-only pool. There are a couple of mountain trails that aren’t very well marked, plus natural springs along the lake. Could be worth a visit if it’s not too far out of your way.

The pool was the highlight for us: clean, relaxing, and genuinely healing, and we left feeling refreshed 🫶. Our lake and mountain view was breathtaking, and the room was clean with incredibly comfortable beds. Kim at reception deserves a special mention for answering every question with care and going above and beyond. Everyone we met, from restaurant staff to room service, was kind, polite, and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay.

The rooms for our group weren’t ready at the 4:00 p.m. check-in time, and we waited until 5:30. It was mildly inconvenient, though we received a 10% discount as an apology. One of our two rooms also had no towels, so we called and housekeeping brought them. Our key kept failing too, which meant repeated trips to the front desk to get it fixed, and it would only work once before failing again. The hot springs were amazing, with three outdoor pools at different temperatures, including an adults-only hottest pool, plus an indoor pool and hot tub. Parking was hard to find. An employee told us we could use staff parking or park outside the lanes if no spots were open, as long as we didn’t block anyone. EV charging costs about $0.20 a minute, around $12 an hour. If you have an electric car, I highly recommend charging elsewhere, since chargers outside the parking lot and around restaurant street cost $2 an hour. To get robes, you have to call the front desk from your room phone and ask for delivery. Depending on how busy things are, they may take a little while. It was a decent trip, but I wouldn’t say the cost of the two-day stay was worth it. The hot springs alone would get five stars from me, while the resort alone would get three.

The staff were very nice, the pools are lovely, and our room was clean with a comfortable bed. The extra $25 resort fee on top of the room price is ridiculous, especially since you have to pay it even if you don’t want to use the pools. The building is so old that you can hear people in other rooms through the walls.
