Tournament Inn

I was there less than 15 minutes and still couldn’t get a full refund. The manager said the debit machine wasn’t working, which I didn’t believe. The room itself was awful: it hadn’t been vacuumed, the shower barely worked, and the heater was out. There was another door into the room that didn’t lock and could be opened from outside, and cold air came in. Even the shower curtain rod was held up with packaging and tape. The hotel exterior wasn’t lit, so you couldn’t see your room. I booked for $60 a night and wasn’t expecting much, but this was disgusting. The service and management were atrocious. I wouldn’t recommend this dump to anyone. Spend more on a real hotel that treats guests properly.

The bed had stains, and there was dust and dirt everywhere. The room was disgusting, like it had never been cleaned. I had to buy my own bedding. I won’t stay here again, you’d be better off sleeping in your car.

I paid for a week in a kitchenette after arriving tired in Kamloops, so I didn’t check the room first. They promised a hot plate. On day two I went to the office and was given one that didn’t work, then told a working one would arrive the next day. It never did. Housekeeping didn’t come by at all, not even to empty the garbage. I’d sleep in my truck before staying there again.

The Tournament inn was clean and had a friendly atmosphere. Staff helped with what I needed, and the room rates were competitive with other hotels nearby. I’d recommend it to travelers coming from out of town.
