I’d stayed here a few times before, but on my last visit there was garbage under the beds and the floors were dirty. If you wore white socks, they wouldn’t stay white for long. I told management, and the next time I tried to book, they refused to rent to me because I’d complained about the dirty room. The owners seem shady and unwilling to take responsibility for the mess. If you want a decent, clean room, go to the sunshine in. This place and houston motor inn have the same owners, so avoid both if possible.

There was mould on the ceiling, water dripping from the upstairs suite into a bucket on the toilet, and sludge in the coffee maker’s water compartment. At $175 for one night, it wasn’t worth it. Maybe $75.

I was on the bottom floor. The rooms were clean when I arrived, and they were cleaned and restocked each day with coffee, toilet paper, and the like. Staff were nice, there was plenty of parking, and wifi was provided. The wifi became unusable when too many people were on it. There’s no ice machine, but you can ask the office for free bags of ice. A train runs very close by, making lots of noise, apparently every two hours, even at night. There’s no laundry on site. You have to go to the RV motel place near Lil Ava’s, tell the office you’re staying at Pleasant Valley Motel, and pay 10$ for one load. They give you a key to a room in the house where you can use a washer and dryer.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and there’s lots of parking. It’s close to plenty of amenities, and ground floor rooms are available for handicap.
