The building itself was beautiful, and our room was clean. The stay, though, was quite enough for one night. We were at the Auberge Le Vieux Presbytère on Friday, July 30th, and the owners’ welcome felt very cold. The mattress was the hardest I’ve slept on, with springs making lumps, and there was no soundproofing. At 7:00 a.m. Saturday, our neighbors talking in the hallway sounded as if they were in bed with us. Breakfast choices were very limited, and the service was so poor I’d have done better serving myself. There was also a strong marijuana smell on the ground floor, which the neighbors noticed too.

It’s a picturesque spot, and the inn has charm, but the upkeep was disappointing. The bedspread and pillowcases were very dirty, and the toilet paper was transparent. Signs asked for tips, while the plentiful breakfast was ordinary and served on plastic tablecloths. For over $160.00, I expected better. Sorry, I can’t recommend the place.
