Marmot Lodge

The room was spacious, parking was convenient, and the staff were very friendly. It’s near the entrance to Jasper, away from the centre but still close enough to walk. A great place to stay.

The room smelled of smoke, and there weren’t any other rooms available, so we didn’t stay. The front desk women were phenomenal in helping us, especially Sophie. She checked us in quickly with a cheerful, positive manner, then handled the problem calmly and confidently. She quickly found us a room at another property when the lodge was sold out. Thank you, Sophie!

We picked Marmot Lodge at short notice for one night in Jasper on our way to BC, and recent reviews had led us there. Check-in was quick, and the front desk staff member was courteous and friendly. Our room at the back of the property was clean, spacious, and seemed recently renovated. We didn’t hear the trains across the road. There were two comfortable queen beds, a separate sitting area with two chairs and a small table, and a desk beside the TV. Our kids enjoyed the nearby pool and indoor hot tub, although the jet button was temperamental. We didn’t try the sauna in the pool area. There’s also a covered outdoor hot tub. Walking around Jasper was easy and saved us parking costs. The kids liked spotting license plates, a game we’d started on the road trip. Evil Dave's Grill on the property was amazing, though it gets busy, so make reservations. The Starbucks there was a typical Starbucks experience, except for the inflated prices. We’d definitely stay at Marmot Lodge again.

The pool felt a little shallow, but the facilities were great. Rooms were very clean and well equipped, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great hotel.
