Accent Inns Kamloops

We had an easy time getting to and from the highway, with restaurants, groceries, shops, and gas stations nearby. The staff were friendly and helped us get the room location we wanted. Our room was clean and comfortable, with the advertised layout and useful things like a mini fridge, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, toaster oven, dishes, and cutlery. They also avoid single-use toiletries. For pets, there are ground-floor walk-in rooms, a small green area with picnic tables, and a thoughtful welcome kit with a towel, bandana, poop bag, and milk bones.

The staff have been friendly and helpful on both of our stays. We were in town for procedures at RIH and the medical rate was very fair. They were also understanding when my husband’s procedure was moved earlier on the day it was scheduled, and we no longer needed the second night. They offered to refund it without any hassle. The rooms work well for traveling with dogs and come equipped with a toaster oven, larger refrigerator, and real plates, cups, and glasses.

Molly at the front desk was upbeat and friendly, and the room was very clean and quiet. We did hear a couple of doors slam, but the rooms were otherwise quite soundproof. I was concerned about pet smells since it’s a pet-friendly place without designated pet-free rooms, so I requested one that hadn’t had an animal in it for at least a week. There wasn’t any smell. We were in Kamloops for my knee surgery, and the hospital was about a seven-minute drive away, even in early rush hour. The elevator is outdoors, as this is more like a motel, but we took the stairs despite my sore knees. No breakfast, though there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. I’d recommend it and stay again.

Kamloops is easily my favorite of the three Accent Inns we use. We’ve stayed here several times, and the staff are super friendly. The hotel has a fun duck theme, quirky messages everywhere, and the BEST coffee machine of the Accent Inns. Burnaby and Victoria, take notes and up your coffee game. It’s also very, very pet-friendly and treats pets like any other guests. This is the only one of the three that matched third-party booking rates for me. Burnaby and Victoria were quite rude when I called and emailed about it, and the service across the chain is vastly different. Victoria was my worst stay by far, though still okay.
