Parkview Motel

I slept well on the beds, which were in great shape, and the rooms were clean, modern, and really nice. The indoor pool was just right, and there’s a restaurant with great food and staff. Everyone at the motel was awesome. The one thing I didn’t like during my monthly stays was having the cleaning ladies come into my room twice a week. I prefer to clean for myself, and that felt like too much.

Three days before our August stay, we were told the motel had overbooked and couldn’t honor the reservation we’d made. We had to reroute our vacation because of it. Businesses that sell more rooms than they can provide should go out of business.

The computer problems at the motel messed up a reservation I’d booked two months earlier, and I ended up in a seriously downgraded suite. The room conditions and customer service both need work. It wasn’t a great stay, and I wouldn’t pick it again or recommend it to friends or family.

The people running the Park View Motel were very hospitable, and I liked using the swimming pool and Jacuzzi. I stayed for a week, and the rooms were cleaned and maintained very well. There’s a restaurant with very good food, too. It’s at 11th and Seymour, on the way into downtown Kamloops. I’d give it 4 stars.
