Sunset Inn Kenora

I hadn't been back to the restaurant for lunch in a while, and we often forget there's one at the hotel. The service was quick, friendly, attentive, and great. The chicken fingers were average, while the patty melt was below average in its bread-to-burger ratio, though the flavor was okay. The fries were a good-sized portion, and drink refills were free. I haven't stayed at the hotel.

Everything we needed was close by, and the location was perfect. The staff were all super friendly and went out of their way to help. Our room was spotless, clean, and really comfortable. We'd definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

We booked for two nights and told them when reserving that I'd be sleeping during the day because I worked nights. They said that was fine. I explained it again when we arrived and asked them to let housekeeping know, and again they said there'd be no issue. What nobody mentioned was the construction happening down the hall and heavy machinery moving around outside my window. It was noisy all day, so I barely slept. The room was rough, and the staff were alright. I won't stay here again.

Even with rooms available, the receptionist told us to “go check other hotels.” She was incredibly rude and dismissive. No professionalism or hospitality at all. The whole experience was awful, and I wouldn't recommend this place.
