Inn At The Harbour

I’ve been coming here for work in September for 4-5 years, and I always book an upper floor room with a balcony. The view over the marina and water is fantastic. The rooms are well appointed, the beds are really comfortable, and the staff are always so nice. Breakfast is good too, and the nook has lots of windows and a great view. It’s a beautiful building on a lovely street, and you can’t beat the location. Main Street, with pubs and places to eat, is just a short walk up the block. I’ll be back next year with my partner so they can enjoy Kincardine and the area. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

We had a very pleasant stay at this family-run inn, within walking distance of so much of downtown Kincardine. The breakfast room overlooks the harbour, and breakfast had plenty of choice: bananas, berries, yogurts, cereals, hard-boiled eggs, juice, and lots of bread for toasting. There was a gluten-free cereal option, and they could bring out gluten-free bread if asked, though there wasn’t a dedicated toaster. Our room was on the ground floor, with a little patio. We liked being able to go out through the patio door, but wished we could enter that way too. Many rooms have balconies. The one thing that needed attention was the mattress, which had a “wow” in the middle instead of lying flat. I mentioned it at the desk when we left, and she made a note to look into it.

We had a great stay in a spacious room with a king-size bed and a lovely balcony view of the Harbour and lake. Breakfast had fresh items, and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Matt, who checked nearby restaurants’ hours and suggested places to eat. The steak was great, by the way! 😉 We’ll definitely come back.

Our group of twenty retired nurses returned to Inn At The Harbour for a second reunion, after having such a good time there two years ago. They let us use a meeting room for our whole two-day, two-night stay and set it up beautifully for us. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Matt quietly took care of moving chairs, bringing things over, and adding a fan so we’d be comfortable. When I brought my car around to leave, he even put my suitcase in the back. That kind of personal service is unusual and so nice. Breakfast was beautifully served, with something for everyone. A big thank you to everyone at Inn at the Harbour. We’ll be back again.
