The food Alain made was amazing, with so much care and attention to detail. He's also one of the kindest, most interesting hosts I've met. The house is beautiful, from the decor to the view, and so clean you could literally eat off the floor. It felt like being in an art museum, what a thrill. We travel a lot for work and fun, and this is one of the best places we've stayed. What an incredible experience. Thanks, Alain. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Alain was friendly and helpful, and made amazing breakfasts. We loved staying at his Auberge. It's a quaint, beautiful place with river views, and a little marina is within walking distance.

Alain was so warm when he welcomed us, and his homemade breakfasts were delicious, healthy, and nicely presented. He was also happy to share lots of ideas for things to do nearby. La Chouenne has loads of charm after being restored by its owner, and we felt at home right away. Our spacious, comfortable room had a partial lake view and an en-suite bathroom with both a bathtub and shower. We'd highly recommend staying here.
