Sitting on the balcony and looking out at the St. Lawrence was such a treat. Hôtel-Motel Castel de la Mer was the perfect stop on our drive from Saguenay Quebec to Ontario, with the cleanest, most comfortable, and most pampering room of our whole road trip. We loved the warm, welcoming feel. A real gem in Charlevoix, and we hope to come back on our next visit!

The walls are a bit thin, and I could hear people in the next room. No big deal to me, though it might bother some. The cute balcony went unused because the weather didn’t cooperate. The rooms are clean and spacious, and there are several restaurants a short walk away. The staff were very friendly, and it was a great price for the area. I’d gladly stay again.

Everyone I dealt with was helpful and polite, and the hotel is well located within walking distance of many restaurants. It was incredibly clean, and the room was large with a balcony overlooking the water. The view was worth the extra money. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Castel de la Mer again.

We had three people in a room with two queen beds. The rooms are large, lovely, and very clean. Even the coffee came with real milk. The little details and presentation made for a really nice stay. I didn’t pay the bill, so I can’t comment on the price.
