The bug problem and cleanliness were the main issues for us. My buddy and I rented an apartment for three days on a ski trip, but ended up booking another place for one night so we wouldn't have to return. We still slept here for two of the three nights we'd paid for, and we wouldn't stay again. When we first came in, the building felt a bit gritty, though not terrible. The apartment itself looked surprisingly nice. Later we found a coffee maker full of mold and some dishes with dirt and bits of crud on them. We also saw ladybugs, flies, and a hornet, mostly in the living room and kitchen near the outside-facing wall. It seemed like that wall might not be sealed properly. There was a fly swatter conveniently placed among the bugs, so we used it on the hornet and some of the flies. We kept our rooms shut and only saw those kinds of bugs. We never saw an employee to tell about any of this. I messaged them on hotels.com about something unrelated, since that's where they'd sent the check-in instructions, and they replied with a link to another customer's receipt and booking. If you need somewhere to stay in Lac Brome and just want to avoid sleeping outdoors or in your car, it's probably fine enough.

Krystel was so friendly and nice. The shared bathrooms were spotless, and for a budget stay, we got more than we paid for. The place has a lot of potential. I'd recommend it for a family visit or a quick couples retreat.

The space had recently been renovated, and you can tell each area was updated thoughtfully. I hosted a retreat for 24 people here in early spring. Since ours was the only group, we could run separate workshops without much trouble, though there aren't any fully enclosed workshop rooms. The chapel was lovely and very useful as a second workshop space, but it cost extra. We hired our own retreat chef, and renting the commercial kitchen was essential to making things work. It has a camp-like feel and was short on serving platters and fancier dishes, but otherwise had what we needed. The commercial dishwasher was a big help. We couldn't use all the outdoor amenities that time of year, though a few people did go for a hike and collect tree water that you can make maple syrup from.

I went with my church in the summer of 25. It was a great place, and we made lots of lovely memories. I'd go back sometime.
