The property had a charming feel, and it was clear a lot of care goes into keeping it up. My room was beautiful, well maintained, and exceptionally clean. The only trouble was the air conditioning, which seemed to run all night. I couldn’t work out how to switch it off or adjust it properly, so clearer instructions or an easier thermostat would have helped. Otherwise, I had a very pleasant stay and would gladly come back.

Steve and the team at The Grand Hotel helped make our wedding day amazing. They were accommodating from our first meeting, and Steve guided us through plenty of things we hadn’t even thought about. On the day, he went above and beyond to keep everything running smoothly. And the food was insanely good. We had the best day, thanks in no small part to the great team. I couldn’t recommend the venue more.

We chose the Grand Hotel for our wedding, and it was perfect. Before we even booked, everyone we told about the venue lit up and talked about how wonderful the weddings they’d attended there were. The food is ridiculously delicious and generous, the service is impeccable, and the space has a warm, romantic, old-world feel without being fussy. Steve and the team pulled together every detail and communicated so well before and during the day. You can tell they really know weddings. Go see the space for yourself, you won’t regret it.

The meal at the wedding was incredible. The tomato bisque was the best I’ve ever had, and the servings were so big I saved half of mine for the next day. It was just as tasty then. The staff treated us warmly and were friendly and helpful. The bride and groom stayed on site and had the run of the place. Thanks to the chef and everyone who worked the wedding. We all had a great time.

We got married at the Grand in October, and it was the loveliest wedding. The food was phenomenal, warm, and made with local ingredients. So many guests told me they couldn’t believe how good it was for a wedding. The venue also has 15 rooms, a bridal suite, and an owners suite; the hotel staff did a great job getting them ready, and having the bridal party get ready there was so nice. Guests loved staying on site. Steve was a rockstar through the weeks and months beforehand, answering loads of questions and meeting with us in person several times. The tasting for couples was phenomenal too. On the day, he handled everything so smoothly that if anything went wrong, the bride and groom wouldn’t have known. Several people said it was the best venue they’d attended. I’d highly recommend it for an indoor wedding.
