Hôtel Ô Suites

I slept incredibly well, better than I can remember outside my own bed. The room was plain and simple, but very clean and comfortable. The biggest perk for me is that Hôtel Ô welcomes animals. I’m disabled and have a service dog, so I really appreciate businesses that open their doors to people and their animals. Our pups and pets are family. They also use grass turf instead of real grass, which makes it easy for dog owners to clean up after their precious pups. Carol at the desk this morning was absolutely pleasant and lovely. After a good night’s sleep, her smile put a little sunshine in my day, even with the cold, wet weather. Chapeau, Hôtel Ô 😊

I stayed four nights, and it was so quiet and extremely clean, which is why I guess I’d recommend it, but only for solo travel. The room was small, and the double bed was much too small for two people. It had been advertised as a queen, and I’d also been told there would be a bathtub, but there wasn’t one. No one came in to bring clean towels, empty the garbage, or make the bed. When I ran out of toilet paper, I had to get more from reception myself. Shampoo and body wash were provided, but no conditioner.

The floor was so filthy that I wiped it with a tissue and it came away black. My light blue sandals were black underneath by the end of the stay, so I had to buy them just to walk around. There was a blood stain on the pillowcase, fly droppings over the surfaces, and bugs painted over on the wall. They don’t even use fitted sheets over the mattress, just a top sheet. The shower pressure was so low that I could only wash my hair twice during an eight-day stay. The room was disgusting. Save yourself the trouble and pay a little more to stay anywhere else.

The staff don’t seem interested in helping clients. They cancel your key right at 11:00 am, so if you’re loading your car and close your apartment door, you’re locked out and have to hurry to the front desk to get it temporarily reactivated. That kind of service says, “Pay us and get out.”
