Duck Pond Bed & Breakfast Cottage

After hiking and exploring Pelee Island and Pelee National Park, it was lovely to come back to the firefly displays. We took the ferry to Pelee Island, rented a golf cart from Pelee Island Adventures, and stopped at fruit stands for fresh seasonal fruit on the way back. I stayed here with my parents on the way to a family wedding. The layout was spacious for three, and we enjoyed the pastoral outdoor patio. The breakfasts were magnificent, enough to provide lunch or snacks as well. I slept great in a comfy, proper bed, not a sofa bed. So good.

Come for the breakfasts, made by a professional European baker, and the fireflies. There are also comfy beds with great sheets, quiet spacious rooms, and a private patio with a table, chairs, BBQ, and a lovely view of the duck pond and busy Purple Martin community. Even outside bird migration season, there's plenty of birdsong and sightings. There's lots of hot water, plush white towels, and a more than adequate kitchenette. The living room is comfortable, with a TV and Netflix if you need it. It's a great place to stay for Point Pelee National Park and the ferry to Pelee Island, especially during fresh fruit season. Book while you can, you won't regret it.

The breakfasts and snacks are incredible, one of the big reasons I keep returning to Duck Pond B&B. It's in a great location, with a comfortable, private setup and its own little patio overlooking the pond and the Purple Martins. I'm a repeat guest, and you'll be happy you booked here.

The hosts' devotion to the different bird species, especially the humble but fascinating Purple Martin, deserves a special mention. Breakfasts were delicious, and the hosts were welcoming and full of useful information. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, particularly the bed, pillows, and linens. It's an ideal location for a trip to PPNP.
