Super 8 by Wyndham Gananoque/Country Squire Resort

The room was very poor, though the bed and pillow were good and the bathroom was clean. The shower had no water, and there was no TV remote. We checked in late at night and had to move rooms in the morning just to use the bathroom. We'd booked two rooms, and before check-in there was a lot of confusion about the room assignment. I'm not sure why we weren't given the other room in the first place. Breakfast was an absolute disaster. It was the first day of the season and they weren't ready. One person was covering reception and breakfast, and all the guests were upset. Devansh tried his best to help, and I felt extremely sorry for him. Staff said they weren't prepared because it was opening day. I've travelled all over the world, and this experience is near the bottom of my list. They gave a partial refund, but I'd much rather have had a better stay than that.

The location was ideal, close to the main attractions but still calm and relaxing. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff@harsh trivedi was very polite, supportive, and always willing to help. Great service and good value for money. I had an amazing stay and would happily return and recommend it.

The hotel wasn't ready for summer. We stayed over the first long weekend and found awful room conditions, no breakfast prep, and a poor, very limited breakfast. Only two people were trying to run the whole property. The same person was handling breakfast and the front desk, while the curly hair guy tried to make up for all the rooms that had been irresponsibly prepared. Property managers can only do so much. The owner is irresponsible about the property. It feels like a cheap way to deceive tourists with promises of good facilities and take their money. Please don't stay here.

The location is excellent, especially for anyone visiting the nearby casino. The rest of the stay was just okay, and the hotel's condition didn't meet my expectations for the price. We booked the Super 8 in Gananoque for its jacuzzi tub, but paint was chipping off the bottom, which wasn't inviting. The sink drained very slowly, as if clogged, and the hallways to the rooms had a strong musty or water-damage smell. Breakfast was underwhelming with little variety. The billing also seemed unusual to me: I was charged for the full night and a security deposit on arrival, whereas at other hotels I've stayed at, that happens at checkout. The deposit took a full week to be released back into my account. Maybe this was a one-off, but I likely won't stay again.
