Auberge La Rosepierre

The room was clean, but there was no air conditioning, no top sheet, and just one large towel per person. The Keurig cups were too small, and housekeeping only came by request. We barely encountered any service: an envelope at the front desk held the door codes and Wi-Fi password, and we saw no staff until checkout. He didn't ask about our stay or invite us back. The parking lot also has a steep section with large washouts. Bistro Henri is attached and the food was delicious and very high quality, though the portions were tiny and it was expensive. The staff there were friendly and efficient, but it's popular, so getting a table, especially at breakfast, can be difficult.

The hotel restaurant turned out to be the highlight. We thought it was probably the best meal we had in Canada, though I'll leave that for a separate review. We arrived Monday evening to find it closed, so we used self check-in, which went smoothly. Breakfast the next morning was good, and the staff were friendly. A few things to know: book the restaurant for dinner, ask for the discount code for 15% off a whale watching trip (we didn't), and spend a little more for a larger room.

We only stayed two nights in May, but I'd happily visit again. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the pink tiled bathroom was especially cute and beautiful. It was easy to find with Google Maps, and the location was convenient. There's a restaurant on site, though we didn't get a chance to try it. One of the proprietors, I believe, was so kind and sweet. She told me she'd designed the bathroom herself, and she did a beautiful job. Wishing them all the best for the coming season. I'd recommend this place to anyone heading to Tadoussac.

Lisa made sure we were comfortable, especially since we were traveling with our baby, and she guided us throughout the stay. Even before we arrived, she was cordial on the phone and explained the details of our booking. Breakfast was delicious, served in a cozy restaurant, and the staff were friendly. We'll definitely return. Kudos to Lisa for the hospitality.
