The pictures online looked decent, so we booked ahead and expected basic, clean accommodation for $150. The room seemed clean at first, but looking closer changed that impression. It smelled like BO, the sheets didn’t smell clean, the remote’s volume control didn’t work, and even the redone room was in bad shape. The bathroom fan was hanging out of the ceiling, the lamps had no shades, there were two mismatched bulbs and two flat pillows. The freezer had wild game blood inside, and there may have been game blood in the tub. Outside, cigarette butts were scattered around, windows were cracked or filthy, and garbage bags were left out. The side door had been patched with plexiglass and wouldn’t lock. There was nobody at the desk when we arrived, so we waited until a very pleasant man showed up. He let us look at two rooms before we picked one facing the parking lot, and warned us not to park behind the building because it was very sketchy. He was working on redoing rooms, at least. We left our dog there while we visited the hospital, but I was seriously worried about leaving my furbaby. After talking it over, we decided not to stay the night. Neither of us wanted to take a chance on those beds. What a dive. Please avoid this place. I wish I’d taken photos.

The person at the front desk was respectful, really nice, and happy to help us get a room in whatever way he could. We had a lovely, pleasant stay and would highly recommend this place.

I’m out $60 cash after what happened with my U-Haul trailer rental two months ago. I’d rented a 4 by 8 trailer for a six-hour haul. At pickup, the guy tried to charge the card on file, though I asked to pay cash since I’d done that at other locations before. He eventually took my $60, but also put through the usual card payment. That made it $130 in total. U-Haul usually reimburses the card charge, but nothing ever came in the mail, so I never got a refund.

The room quality and service were both great, and the stay was better than I expected from a small roadside hotel. The owners are a very kind family and treat you just as warmly. Best hotel service I’ve had in a long time. Thanks for a great stay!

I felt at home at Lively Inn and Suites, and the atmosphere was so inviting. The location was great for exploring the area, too, though my original thought about it got cut off. My room was spotless, nicely decorated, and comfortable, with all the amenities I could ask for. The bed was super cozy and the bathroom was spacious and clean. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, making sure I had what I needed. I had an amazing stay and would highly recommend Lively Inn and Suites for a top-notch experience.
