Best Western Plus Liverpool Hotel & Conference Centre

The room was spacious and had a nice little seating area, and the bed was comfortable. The place was clean, and the service was fabulous. The woman at the desk was also great about sharing information on the area. My only issue was the TV setup. The wifi wasn't strong enough to cast our apps, and MobyTv has 360 but not SN, which isn't really good. Then the whole internet went down in the morning, so we couldn't watch the F1 race like we usually do on Sundays. I did wonder if it was done so we'd check out sooner. Otherwise, I was very happy with the stay.

The only thing that bothered me was the person upstairs, stomping around so much it sounded like a bull moose crossing the room over and over. Apart from that, no complaints. It's a very nice place, with free breakfast, an exercise room, and plenty of parking. I think there's a pool too, though I'm not sure.

I was here a few months ago for work. The room itself was clean and quiet, but they hadn't topped up the soap or shower gel, and the sink was partly clogged. Those are basic things that should be taken care of between guests. When I mentioned it, the staff were cool and brought handwash right away.

I stayed for a week and found the front desk team excellent, professional, and easy to deal with. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, though the furniture and decor aren't very modern. The bathrooms were clean, the water was hot, and the shower pressure was good, but the shower heads were a bit finicky. Since I run hot at night, I would've liked more control over the thermostat. The coldest setting seemed to be about 17-18 degrees. It'd also be handy to have a microwave in each room. There's one in the breakfast area, but going downstairs every time I needed to reheat food was a hassle, especially if it still wasn't warm enough once I got back upstairs. I choose hotels partly for their gyms, especially on longer stays, and this fitness centre needs some maintenance. The weight machine guide rods could use 100% silicone oil, some cables need replacing, and a heavier range of dumbbells would be nice. I'd stay again, though those changes would make it a 5/5.
