The breakfast used to be a real highlight, especially having the same lovely waitress each time. We've stayed here twice a year and always liked it, but that's over now. This visit, two people had to clean our room and there still wasn't any soap or shampoo. The staff were awful. The front desk was rude, and when I asked for the manager, COREY was even ruder. We found a $200 smoking charge on our bill even though we don't smoke. COREY never called back when we phoned about it. We'll be looking for other hotels as we travel. So far, so good.

The slide was the one good part of this place. We chose it based on the reviews, but the rooms were dark, outdated, and dingy, with small uncomfortable beds and lumpy pillows. The service wasn't great either. The breakfast wasn't good, and the waiters seemed selective about who they were friendly to, if you know what I mean.

We were very happy with our stay and would recommend it. The room was clean and fully stocked, and the lobby and front desk area were spotless too. Staff were kind and friendly at check-in, and they answered all our questions and concerns promptly and politely. There's a pool, gym, and restaurant with a bar and VLT, so it works well for families or people working.

I asked for my receipt, but the front desk worker said it would come by email without asking for my email address. She was grouchy and gave me a hard time when I tried to check out. She said I was on the DNR list because I'd treated her the same way, and couldn't handle me speaking loudly to her back. The guy with the dreads defended her, which seemed to make her feel even more entitled to yell. I'd like the owners to contact me about her attitude. If the owner was the front desk worker that morning, though, I don't see how this could be resolved.

The restaurant food is solid and the staff are great. Rooms are super clean, the beds are good, and the shower has good pressure. It can get a little loud on the highway side, but otherwise it's been good so far.
