Hampton Inn by Hilton Lloydminster

The room at Hampton was clean, comfortable, and met the basics, but the service didn’t live up to what I usually expect from a Hilton property. I checked in on the mobile app and selected a drink and snack. At other Hilton hotels, those are usually put in the room, but nothing was there and no one explained why. It made the perk feel pointless. Details like that matter when you expect consistent brand standards. Decent room, but the service and attention to detail need serious improvement.

My kids had fun splashing in the pool, and we’d definitely stay here again. The hotel was modern and clean, with comfortable beds and rooms that were laid out well. The staff provided excellent service and breakfast was good. No complaints.

I travel a lot for work and usually stay at the Best Western in town, but it was booked, so we reserved online and selected a top-floor room. On arrival, we were given a room on the 2nd floor instead, so there was no point asking us to choose a room. The walls are paper thin and it stayed noisy until late. The mattresses have lost all their firmness and are way past worn out. Breakfast wasn’t good either: the bagels and muffins were hard as rocks, and the eggs and hash browns were cold. I’ve stayed at quite a few Hampton Hiltons, and this was by far the worst. I wouldn’t recommend it or come back.

I booked the jacuzzi room as a special treat for my husband and me, but it was a huge disappointment. In room no. 501, there was hair and several bits of dust, or some kind of particles, on the jacuzzi. When I switched on the bubble jet, it smelled horrible. The dresser was missing a handle too, which looked sketchy. What kind of hotel leaves a broken dresser in the room? It felt like they never clean or care about the room. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. I’m sick and tired of copy and paste answers. 😒
