The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. We could book a separate room for family gatherings, and the stay was good overall. Breakfast was the one disappointment: there wasn’t much to choose from, and the hash browns were undercooked, almost raw. Everything else was amazing.

Rae at the front desk was really helpful and switched rooms for us because someone in our party had difficulty moving around. We’re travelling east to west across the country, and this was the best Microtel Inn we’ve stayed at since leaving Montreal. Sherri, who was working the evening bar and lounge, was also pleasant and helpful. The breakfast has been the best so far on our trip too. Highly recommend stopping here. Thanks, Alex and Jean.

The staff were great and very accommodating, and the hotel is good for its category and price range. Was it as nice and full of facilities as a Fairmont? No. Was it less expensive? Yes. For the money, it gets five stars from me.

The breakfast was hot and fresh, with a good range of choices, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We were there for the Lloyd craft sale weekend, Nov 14-16. The room was clean, but so small that the only place to open our suitcases was on the bed. The bathroom light was also too dim.

I stay at Microtel locations around AB regularly for work, including Bonnyville, and the customer service has been great at all of them. It really feels like a home away from home. I’m at the Lloyd, AB Microtel now, where Ofel (hope I didn’t butcher her name) at the front desk and Manager Matt checked me in. They were amazing, and I even got an upgrade, subject to availability, of course. The standard across these locations is really high. Love it 💜
