Superlodge Lloydminster

For the price, I wasn’t expecting much after reading the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, cool, and had perfect shower pressure. The front desk and housekeeping staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, so I’d recommend staying here. My only gripe was that SKIP THE DISHES or JUST EAT “didn’t” deliver to my area, which was annoying. Still, five thumbs up for this place.

I paid for 5 nights in advance, then arrived to find a room that was run down beyond belief: water-damaged walls, spots with black mould, furniture from 5 different decades, an awful smell, and holes where the floors and walks meet. I planned to stay just one night and check out in the morning, but then saw on my receipt that payments aren’t refundable. So now I have to stay or bite the bullet and lose $500. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. I bet motels in Kandahar Afghanistan are in better shape and more inviting.

The bed was horrible, and I honestly thought I’d roll off the side. They asked for a deposit, but I’ve no idea why, since they didn’t even check whether we’d trashed the room. Claiming to have the lowest rates around is B.S. At least the place was clean and allowed pets, and the new owners are nice. I hope they improve it a bit more. This was the worst place we stayed on our B.C to Ontario trip.

The service was very rude and inconsistent, and the rooms were freezing and not clean. I miss the old management.
