The advertised photos, self-described “4-Star” amenities, and thumbnail price give a misleading picture of this place. The initial price looks much lower than nearby options, but extra fees bring it about in line with other budget stays, perhaps $20 different. Once you’ve committed, changing your plans is harder. I wouldn’t trust the overwhelmingly positive reviews. People seem to have very different ideas about what counts as a minimum standard for room conditions, and I can’t see how the experiences could vary so widely otherwise. This “hotel/motel” seems to serve as an alternative to homelessness, a “party room,” or something similar that keeps it operating. In my view, an official inspection should consider it a health risk and shut it down. If you expect even basic sanitation and service, you won’t have a positive stay.

The rooms were nice, and the front desk clerk was a great guy. I arrived late with a large group, and he took us to our rooms and made sure we were settled. Best service ever.

I had to find a hotel at the last minute and wanted to keep the cost down. I should’ve paid the extra $40 for somewhere else. The place wasn’t clean or kid friendly, and the hallways smelled strongly of smoke and weed. It was horrible. When I asked for a refund, they said they’d charge me for two nights instead of one. I had to fight them about it. This feels like an unsafe inn that should’ve been shut down.

The rooms are tiny, dirty, moldy, water damaged, and have no soundproofing. The hallways smelled of cigarettes and pee, and there isn’t a restaurant, at least right now. The photos don’t show what the place or rooms are really like. Unless you’re desperate to save around $40, do yourself a favour and book somewhere else. There were bloodstains and burn holes on the bed, and the lamp looked like a murder scene. The bathtub seemed not to have been cleaned since installation, with black hair just sitting there. The toilet lid barely stayed on, dresser handles and the toilet roll holder were broken, and the water pressure was so weak it might be rough unless you’re a hummingbird. (Kudos to the kids, though, happy homecoming!) When you check out, make sure the $100 security deposit goes back into your account. Otherwise you’ll have to call, and suddenly they need your card details again to issue it. We got ours back, but that was weird. Maybe don’t leave until it’s returned. Solid 1 out of 10.

I had a really nice, comfortable stay here. The person at reception was excellent and understood what customers needed. Whenever I asked for something, he replied quickly. I’d give the place five out of five stars.
