Our group of girls had a wonderful weekend here. The two-bedroom suite was comfortable, well appointed, and had a great view. The hot tub wasn't working, unfortunately, but the staff more than made up for it by letting us use the spa hot tub, sauna, and other facilities. They were friendly and accommodating with everything we needed. A couple of the girls got spa services and raved about those and the staff. We knew the restaurant would be closed in January, though I still wished it had been open. I wish I'd noted the names of the staff who were so wonderful so I could commend them personally, but they were all great.

I left Painted Boat Spa feeling deeply relaxed, clear-headed, refreshed, and uplifted. It felt like a reset I hadn't realized I needed, and I'll be thinking about it and coming back for a long time. From arrival, everything seemed calm, thoughtful, and beautifully put together. The serene, welcoming atmosphere melted away stress, while the soothing scents and tranquil spaces made it easy to unplug and be present. It felt like an experience, not just a visit.

The harbor setting is beautiful, though you don't get the wide open sea view. Staff were so helpful, and we got upgraded to a villa simply as a customer service gesture. The spa was 5 stars, and I've been to a lot of spas.

I had a lovely afternoon in the spa garden for a friend's birthday. The staff were very accommodating and let us bring a cake and non-alcoholic champagne. They also let me arrive a little early since they weren't busy. The spa was empty after our slot, so I'm sure staying a little longer might have been fine too. My suggestions: the hot tub wasn't very hot, since we sat comfortably in it for most of the two hours. Also, if the spa garden is quiet on either side of an appointment, it'd be nice if the time slot could be extended without having to ask. It's a bit of a drive from everything, so a little extra time would make more of a day of it if there's space.

Painted Boat Resort has everything for a great west coast vacation: a spa, marina, restaurant, pool, gym, hot tub, and massive suites. The online photos don't do them justice. You can walk into town for supplies at IGA, the B.C. Liquor Store, and other food shops. Best hotel or resort on the Sunshine Coast, and it never disappoints, whatever the season.
