The room was comfortable and what you'd expect from a roadside motel. We barely spoke with anyone, but the service still stood out. Because of the ferry strike in Baie Comeau, we were running very late. A young woman from Le Portage called to check we were still coming and that everything was okay. She explained the front desk was closing and made sure we had the code to get into our room. I'd stay there again.

There was coffee, a fan, a fridge, microwave, and shampoo in the room, which was cosy with comfortable beds. The road and parking lot noise came through poorly insulated walls, though. A truck maneuvering in the lot in front of the motel woke us up during our one-night stay.

The servers were very friendly, and the breakfast was good value. During our Gaspésie holiday, it turned out to be the best breakfast we had. There was a great selection, everything was good quality and well prepared, and the homemade apple butter was incredible.

Our room was large and clean when we arrived, but it wasn't cleaned at all during the three nights we stayed. There was only one trash can, and it overflowed. I wouldn't recommend it.

The fruit at the complimentary continental breakfast was mouldy. Also, watch which side of the property you get. Our room had no air conditioning, so we had to leave the window open, and the transports on the highway just feet away sounded like they were right in the room.
