Breakfast was the highlight at Quality Inn Matane. There was lots of choice, everything was fresh and very clean, and the service was great, especially for a 3-star hotel. Our room was spacious, spotless, and nicely laid out, with a separate work and living area, a sofa, and extra amenities. The bathroom was large, but only had shampoo and conditioner, no body wash. We didn’t get to try the pool. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it.
The outside looked a bit plain at first, but inside the hotel was a real gem. The room setup was clever: you could enter from the car park, motel-style, or from the indoor hotel corridor. It was very well equipped, right down to make-up remover wipes, a good hairdryer, and a general-use towel for boots or the car. The river was just a few minutes away on foot. That stretch of St Lawrence shoreline wasn’t the prettiest, but the sunset was magnificent, and we enjoyed it from the connected restaurant and bar, both top quality. Loved our stay.
The ferry is only a couple of minutes away, so the location worked perfectly for us. Breakfast was top notch, with the best selection we’ve seen at any hotel we’ve stayed in. The hotel was nice and the staff were great.
A quiet, comfortable place to stop for the night while travelling around Gaspe. It was clean, easy to get to, and had a decent breakfast.
It was conveniently located for the nearby ferry, and the price was affordable. The room was spacious and clean, with a cozy bed and plenty of closet space. The service was good, the hotel was clean, and breakfast was filling with a good range of food. The bathroom was very clean, but the toilet wouldn’t flush, and the pillows were too small.
