Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

The owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even moved our room so we could use a good spot for the trailer, and showed us an easy way to the back parking lot. It was a very easy stop right off the highway. The rooms looked clean and had a few upgrades, though they’re a little dated. I felt comfortable there, and the laundry facilities came in handy. Breakfast was included, with hot items. Fantastic deal for the price.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The night clerk brought me an extra blanket after I told him about the mattress. I didn’t want to sleep in the bedding after seeing it, so I slept on top of it with the blanket. I think this is family run. Breakfast was good. Room 226 was surface clean but very dated. The bed was lumpy and badly stained. The outside could use some TLC too, and one of the pool windows was broken. The stairs to the second level are very steep and, in my view, not to code. The metal service stairs are better, but hard on pet paws. When I arrived in the evening as a woman alone with my dog, the area didn’t feel as safe as I’d hoped. I walked around the neighborhood the next day and it seemed okay. I’d been concerned about my car parked on the outside edge of the lot, but it was fine.

A good deal for the money, with spacious, clean rooms that had what I needed. The included hot breakfast was a nice bonus. It’s also within walking distance of the Regional Hospital.

Bob at reception gave me a warm welcome and accommodated my needs. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower was great. In the morning he remembered my name and greeted me with a smile. Breakfast was what I expected, with scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausages, and all the tables were clean.
