For an overnight stop, this motel was good value and conveniently placed across from a BC Hydro EV charger, next to an A&W in Merritt's older downtown area. Staff were friendly, and our renovated kitchenette room with a queen bed cost $101 after tax and fees. It was comfortable enough, and very quiet at night, though the bouncy bed woke me whenever my husband moved. We couldn't hear neighbours through the walls, but could clearly hear them leaving in the morning. There were three large pillows, but no flat one for stomach sleeping. The heat was easy to adjust and warmed the room quickly. The AC controls, above the fridge, were so hard to reach I had to climb on a chair. Continental breakfast was included: juice boxes, yogurt in vanilla, strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry, white and brown bread, toasted waffles without syrup, Cheerios or Fruit Loops, mini muffins, jam, and coffee. We had to wipe down our own table because all of them were dirty, even though we were the only ones there.

This probably isn't a good place to stay with kids, since people sit in the balcony hallway smoking cigarettes and marijuana just a few feet from the doors and windows. They can provide towels or more coffee if you ask at the front desk. But if you expect the bed made or the room cleaned and fresh towels every day, or even every couple of days, this place won't suit you.

The staff were friendly, and I appreciated having coffee from the little single-cup machine in the room. The bed was clean and had two pillows, and the apartment-size fridge came in handy. I had to use a ladle to reach the AC buttons above the fridge 😂. It was a roadside motel that worked for a rest, but I probably wouldn't choose it next time. The room needed a deep clean, the stair railing felt loose, and a big bucket of cigarette butts beside one room was unappealing.

This is an older, basic motel. The room and washroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable. There was no closet, just wall hooks, and the bathroom is badly in need of an upgrade.

I had a great experience here. It’s an affordable, centrally located mom-and-pop hotel, and my room had everything I needed. The AC worked well, the water pressure was strong, and the room was clean. Best of all, it had the most comfortable bed I've slept in for a long time. Some people have complained that the hotel and furniture aren't fancy, but that wasn't a concern for me. The couple who worked there and had just come from moosejaw were really friendly and made us feel welcome. Thanks! We'd definitely stay again if we're back in merritt.
