Our first month was reasonable and very clean, but when I tried to book a second month, they charged more for one person than for two. Two people paid $1650. I went back and was quoted $1750 plus a $300 pet deposit. AJ also said I had to pay per night from the 26th to the 28th to hold the room, then pay monthly on the 29th. I asked for at least the 30th and was told it was that way or nothing. I don’t recommend this place. This guy gouges poor working people. Two others living there pay $1200. We also had to change rooms twice. The tub floor floated with leaking water while showering. Absolutely disgusting. He rented it to another "guest" the next day.

The manager was kind, patient, and reassuring from the moment I checked in. I arrived at the Shamrock fleeing a severely abusive situation, and when he noticed how anxious I was, I asked him not to tell anyone I was there if they called. He promised I was safe, would stay on high alert, and would handle it if my abuser showed up. He kept being accommodating and reassuring throughout the few days I stayed, which made a frightening, difficult situation much easier for me. The room felt a little overpriced, could use updating, and needed a fridge, but the service made up for those things.

Room 124 is separate from the rest of the motel and was very spacious, with two queen beds. There’d be plenty of floor space for a play pen and air mattress if you were traveling with kids. It was impeccably clean and had a kitchenette and bathroom, plus a lovely daylight view of the lake. The style is a bit dated, but I enjoy the blast from the past, and my kids were especially excited about the blue bathtub. The couple at check-in were extremely friendly and helpful.

I only chose this Motel because everywhere else in town was around $300 a night and I just needed somewhere to sleep. The room was dirty. At checkout, staff tried to keep $50 from my cash deposit, claiming I’d had an overnight guest, even though I’d paid for two people and put both our names on the paperwork. I’ll never stay here again.

The owners were friendly and accommodating, and there’s a big, quiet lawn with picnic tables and barbecues for guests. The room was spacious and clean, but it smelled of stake cigarette smoke. We also couldn’t turn off the heat. At checkout we were told we should have called the office about it.
