Breakfast was good, the pool was fairly clean, and the beds were comfortable, though a few pillows felt cheap. The room smelled a bit musty at check-in, and I found dirty socks behind the curtains. The internet struggled with streaming video. There’s a paid washer and dryer, but no ATM, and the front desk wouldn’t provide change through debit-card cash back. They also require a $250 credit card deposit at check-in, with no debit or cash accepted, despite what the call center says. The 2 / 4 stars rating seems fair based on Google’s listing. A few small touches could bring it up to 3.

Matt Cox and Alex made us feel genuinely cared for, staying attentive and understanding from check-in through check-out. Their kindness and professionalism are what keep me loyal to Hilton as a Diamond member. The hotel itself was spotless, comfortable, and welcoming. We had an amazing stay at the Hampton Inn Truro and would gladly come back. We can’t recommend it enough.

The breakfast was good, and the room was clean. The staff member on duty was dealing with a lot of guests, so getting help took quite a while. My main frustration was the Hampton Inn Digital Keys. They never work for me, so instead of going straight to the room I had to return to the front desk and wait for physical keys. That’s not the property’s fault, but if someone from Hilton sees this, please fix the technology or stop offering it until it works. Otherwise, it was a perfectly fine Hampton Inn with nice service.

Both of my stays here were excellent, and I’d come back. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff friendly, and the service good. Breakfast was decent too.

Under 200 a night was a great price, especially when most places average 300. There’s free breakfast, a pool, lots of parking, and a quiet setting. Tim hortons and subway are close by, and the rooms are great.
