Best Western Milton

The rooms have a microwave and refrigerator and are nicely equipped. It’s a great little local hotel for a getaway, too. The kids loved the indoor pool, which is kept somewhat warm and open all year. I’d recommend staying here.

The bathroom was hard to use because of a strong curry smell, though the room itself was fine and met standard expectations. I checked in and found splattered residue on the bathroom walls, as if someone had cooked there. Maybe a previous guest had secretly done that, but I don’t understand why the hotel hadn’t dealt with it before I arrived. The smell made me feel nauseated, so I used a towel to block the gap beneath the door and keep it from spreading into the room. I also reported the issue to reception.

Dinner was great, especially the oxtail special, and the room was clean with a good bed. I appreciated having a coffee maker for hot water, a refrigerator, microwave, and hair dryer. For a work stay it was satisfactory and okay value, and it’s kid-friendly, though I’m less sure about a vacation or romantic trip. The walls and entry door are thin, the blanket was thin, and the towels weren’t good. The pillows were small, like RV pillows. I’m sure the elevator usually works?

I arrived really late and picked this place because it was the closest hotel I could find. Check-in was easy and everything was clean, so it was decent. The walls are thin, though, and you can clearly hear people walking and talking outside your room. Just an okay stay.
