Gateway Motel

We stayed in room 9 from May 9th to 11th with our dogs. I want to be clear that the room was already in poor shape before they came in. We kennel them, and they aren't allowed on the beds or furniture. The floor was streaky and looked muddy or dusty, seemed to be coming apart, and the room smelled stale and dusty. The beds were dirty too, with stains on the box springs. I felt unclean staying there. The continental breakfast wasn't much either. The first day there was toast and cereal; the second day they had a waffle machine going. Even a pet-friendly room should be cleaned with some care. I wouldn't stay again unless the cleaning improves. Some other low reviews blame pets for dirty rooms, but that wasn't the cause of what we found.

Affordable rates and a very clean place. The guy was nice to talk to, and I saw him interacting with staff and slayers.

We only stayed one night, but really liked the rooms. They were clean, pet-friendly, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect. Some wild deer came by in the morning.

The box spring was bare and visibly stained, and the sheets had stains too, even though they were clean. The rooms were dirty. They need to replace the sheets and beds if they want to avoid more bad reviews. There's actually a sign saying “new rooms.” I wouldn't recommend it.
