The Tides Inn

The beds were firm and comfortable, nothing like the cheap, lumpy ones in other hotels that sink to the floor. The views were great, there was plenty of seating, and the room was big and spotless. Breakfast was good and hot. We stayed two days and could easily have stayed a week without noticing time pass. There are nice places to eat nearby. This was the best stay of our whole 10-day trip across Newfoundland, and the best sleep I've had while travelling for three weeks across ON, QC, NB, NS and NFLD. Hopefully life brings me back. All the best to the owners, who maintain the property like their own home. Thank you.

We spent five days at the Tides Inn in Norris Point and had a wonderful time. Robert and Barb welcomed us warmly, and our room was immaculate. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the harbour and having a hearty breakfast each morning were both highlights. Norris Point was a perfect base for exploring beautiful Gros Morne park. It's smaller and quieter than Rocky Harbour, with good restaurants and a nice little hike on Burnt Hill. This was the best trip we've had in a long time. We're so glad we vacationed in Canada, especially in Gros Morne in Newfoundland.

The room looked just like the pictures, modern, spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. The Tides Inn has a boutique feel, and Norris Point is a tranquil little community with lovely views of the small harbour and Tablelands across the water. It's a great place for a quiet, relaxing night or two, with easy access by car to trails and activities in the park. We stayed one night for a quick getaway and wished we'd stayed longer. Breakfast had hot options like eggs, bacon, sausage and French toast, along with cold choices such as cereals, yogurt, fruit, bagels and baked goods. There are also a few nice cafes and restaurants nearby, including The Old Store Cafe and The Black Spruce. We'd definitely stay again.

The view from our room was awesome, and the rooms were updated, clean and cozy. We arrived before the season opened, when most places weren't even open, but the hosts at The Tides Inn were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend this place!
