The owners and their family made this stay especially memorable. They welcomed us warmly and shared great tips for trails and scenic drives, plus, surprisingly, two world-class restaurants around Gros Morne. We were four old friends on a long-overdue trip, and Martin Cabin motel near Gros Morne National Park was a great base for getting out into the landscape. We shared one roomy cabin. It was spotless and well kept, with a cozy wood interior that suited the rugged Newfoundland setting. The little kitchen and free coffee were handy, and we made some meals there to save on dining costs. We did go out for dinner, though I don't think anything was open for breakfast. There was also free wifi, a BBQ and a nice deck. It isn't a high-end resort, but it was good value and just right for our outdoor adventures with Gors Mourne Adventure. We'd happily return and recommend it to anyone after an authentic Newfoundland stay.
