The desk staff let us check in a bit early after we arrived soaked from a rainstorm on our motorbike. It was a perfect place to get out of the rain. Our room was clean and well equipped, with a river view where we watched the storm pass. The bed was comfortable, we slept well, and breakfast was decent, with cereal, toast and waffles.

The mini fridge froze everything we put in it, and the room felt a little damp and noisy. We weren’t there much beyond sleeping, though, so it did the job for what we needed. The service was great, the location was amazing, right by Ritchie's Wharf, and the air conditioning worked really well.

Everything else was perfect, but there was a strange smell coming from the bathroom. New info: the city was working on flushing the sewage waters, so the smell came from that and wasn’t the hotel’s fault. Still, it was a major inconvenience, and now the water in the toilet, sink and shower is brown.

The stay was terrible, and I won’t be back or recommend this place. I thought I was speaking to the hotel when I made the reservation, but it was a third party, and when I left I couldn’t even get a bill showing where I’d paid. The TV didn’t work when we arrived, and I had to reset it again during our two-night stay. The floors were dirty, and there was a worm on the bathroom floor when we were leaving. My wife wouldn’t go back in there. They quoted me 177.00 for two nights, but charged 227.00. Staff weren’t very polite, and their attitude changed overnight. Breakfast ends at 10.00, while everywhere else I’ve stayed has served it until 11:00.
