Scenic Motel Moncton

The room did the job, but a few things made the stay disappointing. The shower had hot water and decent pressure, yet its diverter only partly switched the flow, leaving my feet drenched while the upper half barely got wet. The bed had a memory foam mattress that swallowed me up. I really prefer springs, which support you and let you move. There was a TV we didn't watch and a mini fridge and microwave we didn't use. The listing calls it a basic motel with free coffee, but there wasn't any coffee at all, so bring your own. Otherwise, the listing was accurate. The rate was reasonable compared with other places, though somehow higher on weekends. I guess the owners just want to charge more then, unless the law says they have to. It's conveniently located just past Moncton, far enough from the city to be quiet. I was coming from Cape Breton on the way to Ontario. Check-in was odd: the owner asked four times whether we had pets, even though pets aren't allowed, then asked if we had children. I felt like I must have been wearing an “All My Pets Go Everywhere With Me” shirt. I finally cut in to say we had no pets, kids, donkeys, or pigeons, and he stopped asking. It was okay in a mildly disappointing way. I've stayed in worse places, but also in plenty of cheap-looking ones that turned out much better. Don't get your hopes up.

The staff were helpful, and the room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. I had a great stay and would come back.

For an overnight, the clean rooms and convenient spot near Moncton worked well. It's a small hotel just off the highway. When we called to say we'd arrive late, the staff were very accommodating. My only suggestion is better door locks. At this price, it was well worth it.

I had a bad stay. The room was cold when we arrived, and there was no thermostat for controlling the heat apart from the wall unit itself. The TV didn't work, so I called the office to have someone come fix it. I also complained about stained towels. The bedding hadn't been washed, and the pillowcase smelled like someone's dirty hair.
