Gite du Mont-Albert - Sepaq

The park was beautiful, with a superb trail system, and we’d love to come back to explore it. The cabin was poor value for its high nightly price. It was noisy, close to the main highway and with roads on three sides. The main floor was dim, and the cooking and living room amenities were very modest. There was only one bathroom in a cottage rated for eight people. We wouldn’t stay at the Gite again.

The location is handy for several hiking routes, and with no mobile data service on the mountain, the WiFi was a real help. We stayed two nights with my parents in the caribou rooms with a mountain room. Everything was very clean, and the shampoo, body wash, and conditioner were good quality. There was a Nespresso machine with pods, plus a shared microwave for heating food. You can also use the sauna. We brought our own food instead of booking dinner since it was a bit pricey. A great getaway if you want to enjoy nature without camping.

We had an outstanding lunch in the bistro, a four-course set dinner, and breakfast the next morning. The views are amazing, and our room was modern, comfortable, and tastefully designed. We stayed one night in January 2025 on an impromptu trip and loved it. WiFi mattered because there was no mobile signal in the park, though it wasn’t the fastest. A great base for exploring the beautiful park.

Great access to rental gear, and the food was among the best I’ve had at a national park hotel.
