The outside grounds look cared for, and there’s plenty of parking. It was fairly calm with a pet, too. Inside, though, the room was dusty and dated, with old furniture and a mattress that was badly worn. The bed skirts were disgustingly dirty. Sound carries right through the walls, so we could hear footsteps overhead and conversations next door. The charging ports didn’t work, and the staff didn’t seem to care about their jobs.

The town made a really positive impression as a place to stay and visit. It’s handy for the highway and other amenities, from the Shell gas station to St Hubert chicken. The room was clean and quiet, and the staff here were polite and helpful.

We especially enjoyed the walk by the water and the lookout tower at the campground, where you can see for miles. At the hotel, the main floor was very quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were charming. We had a great stay and would come back. We left before breakfast was served, so I can’t comment on it.

The room was clean, and getting to the hotel from the highway was easy. Breakfast is included, though it’s basic. The bed wasn’t comfortable, and despite being told we’d have a queen, it was the same size as the double beds in the room next door. A musty smell came strongly from the heating and AC unit, so we couldn’t use it. The toilet wouldn’t flush, and we had to use the one in the lobby. The front desk apologized but didn’t offer any compensation.
